Many moons past, in the latter part of what is oftern referred to as "the 20th century", Vic Spanner (before he was known by that name), wrote a book. Or most of it. Maybe it was meant to be a comic book series, or a TV show. It's not like he ever finished the damn thing. It was called 'Mysterytown'.
Anyway, Vic did some artwork, for what would have been the comic book version. These images were created during some all night sessions, when Vic had insomnia, and found it easier to sleep during the day. Some of them are based on original drawings by Matthew Sharp. He's still around somewhere.
Eventually, Vic gave up on the artwork to concentrate on the writing. Then he gave up on the writing to make music. He has recently given up on the music to start writing again. Go figure.
The slideshow below features the best of the 'art' made around 1995 - 1996.
Fact fans may be interested to know that an episode of 'Mysterytown' was illustrated in part by Simon Bridgestock. That was in 2003, give or take.
The pages Simon did are around somewhere and may appear here in the future.
